Ed Sheeran and Jamie Lawson are both up for a prestigious Ivor Novello Award.
Ed who last year signed Jamie as his first artist to his label GingerBread Man Records, will both go head to head at the award ceremony next month. Ed’s song ‘Bloodstream’ which he recorded with Rudimental, and Jamie’s hit ‘I Wasn’t Expecting That’, have both been shortlisted for the best song musically and lyrically of 2015.
The two also face stiff competition from Wolf Alice with the song Bros.
The Novello awards will take place in Mayfair, London on 19 May, where a host of other artists including James Bay and Jess Glynne are also up for awards.
